Lockdown Mother’s Day Ideas
We know it may not be possible for everyone to see their mums this March 14th but it doesn’t mean Mother’s Day has to go uncelebrated!
If you want to do more than send flowers, then here are some ideas for celebrating Mother’s Day at a distance –
1/ Recreate a fancy Afternoon Tea
You might have noticed that we just launched our Mother’s Day collection of treats (which you can order here). These handcrafted cakes and pastries include Amaretto Cheesecakes, Strawberry Mousse Hearts and Mini Blueberry Pavlovas, all tried and tested to make sure they are extra delicious (someone had to do it).
Our Afternoon Tea Collection is perfect for sharing, whether meeting in person or via Zoom. Why not dress up or decorate the room or garden to make it feel extra special?
Debora makes every cake by hand in her Dry Drayton bakery. Local Cambridge delivery can be arranged for a small charge or we can organise a no-contact collection, adhering to all current safety guidelines.
2/ DIY Spa Day at home
Send your Mum some bath salts, face masks or a DIY nail kit so she can enjoy pampering herself. Everyone could use a bit of extra self-care right now and it’s a perfect way to show you love someone.
If you want to make it feel even more spa-like, you could send scented candles or an oil burner to recreate that delightful spa aroma.
3/ Organise a “Watch Party” and enjoy your fave film together
Send some popcorn and arrange a Netflix Party, enabling you to watch your favourite films together online. Play is synced so you don’t need to worry about pausing or rewinding to get to the same point. Keep the conversation going as if you were sharing a sofa!
And if Mum is not that tech-savvy you could also include some instructions… or a Netflix subscription..
If you want to add wine or bubbly to any of these celebrations, our friends at Vine & Cork offer a 10% discount to Biscotti di Debora customers – just quote BISCOTTI at the checkout.
